Problem Of Grey Hair

Grey hair is supposedly a sign of wisdom. Well, grey hair is caused when the follicle is unable to add color to the hair or when there is lack of melanin in the body. Melanin is responsible for giving color to the hair and due to the lack of which the hair starts to grey. Some years ago, grey hair was the sign of reaching mid-life or starting with old age. But today, even young people are susceptible to grey hair. Though there is no permanent method of eradicating grey hair, most people resort to hair coloring as the preferred alternative.

Tips to prevent grey hair

When you color or dye your hair, buy a superior quality product which does not contain ammonia. Instead of hair color, using Henna is comparatively beneficial for the hair.

Colored hair needs extensive care and proper nourishment. It also requires regular conditioning.

Do not pluck grey hair. It can damage the hair follicles.

Problem Of Dandruff

Dandruff is the shedding of dead skin cells from the scalp. Normally, it is the tendency for the skin cells to die and flake off. This may also be accompanied by irritation and redness. In most cases, dandruff can be easily treated with a specialized shampoo.

Causes of Dandruff

  • Shampoos containing chemicals.
  • Too much sweating.
  • Stress-related problems.
  • Overactive oil glands of the skin on the scalp.
  • Allergies

But the reasons for dandruff may not necessarily be the same in all individuals. For some people the problem may be only seasonal. It may start showing up during the winter season only, but at other times of the year, the hair may look healthy and free from dandruff.

Dull, lusterless, Dry hair

Hair is made up of a protein substance known as keratin that makes up the outer layer of skin. Hair is a tough material, but with time the hair becomes weak and loses its shine. Eventually, it becomes dull, lifeless, brittle and ultimately breaks.

Causes of Dull Hair

  • Overexposure to sunlight
  • Overuse of hair-care products
  • Frequent coloring and bleaching destroys the natural color and texture of the hair
  • High heat from hair dryers and curling irons may also affect the quality of the hair and make it brittle.

Tips to shiny hair

  • Wash your hair with cold water
  • Choose the right kind of shampoo suited to your hair
